Job Description: ACT Engineers, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Civil Engineer Manager. Licensed Professional Engineer with 10 – 15 years’ experience in site engineering, stormwater management, utilities, wastewater, land use and municipal representation. Proficiency in Civil3D required. Experience necessary in the preparation of construction bid documents, construction inspection, and land use permitting in the mid-Atlantic region. Coastal engineering and permitting experience a plus.
Compensation: Commensurate with experience
Compensation Overview: Compensation consistent with experience and benefits based on full-time status. Benefits include medical, life insurance, long-term disability, and 401k.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Project design and management of civil engineering projects, budgets, timelines, and staff
- Coordination of field visits for data collection
- Hydraulic calculations
- Grading design
- Stormwater management
- Technical report preparation
- Land development permitting
- Coastal engineering and permitting experience a plus
Qualifications (Education and Experience):
- BS degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineering License (NJ minimum, PA and other states desired)
- Expertise with AutoCAD, Civil 3D
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Excellent technical writing skills
- Organized, motivated, and dependable
- Willing to work overtime on a limited basis to meet client needs
- Valid driver’s license
- Able to obtain government clearance
- Able to pass drug and alcohol tests
