Baby Oysters Fill Shellfish Nursery at Bayside Center in Ocean City
For the fourth season, ACT Engineers coordinated the arrival of baby oysters delivered to the shellfish nursery or “upweller” at the Bayside Center in Ocean City on the city’s behalf ACT staff members, along with volunteers, clean the upweller weekly and measure the oysters’ growth. The oysters will be placed in Great Egg Harbor Bay to help clean the water at the end of the season.
