Atlantic City Municipal Utilities Authority Cradle Replacement Project

Project Description

ACT Engineers provided construction inspection services for temporary wetland disturbances resulting from the replacement of more than 600 concrete cradles supporting the two 48-inch diameter potable water pipes. Concrete support cradles were installed circa 1920 and, utilizing federal Grant monies, the ACMUA is in the process of replacing the concrete structures with aluminum structures. Each cradle location and construction access / staging resulted in temporary wetland disturbance that was restored, planted and monitored for three years.

ACT provided construction inspection services; oversight of restoration and planting activities; permit compliance and preparation of annual monitoring reports.
