Newark Energy Center Generating Station

Project Description

This electrical generation project included the evaluation of all facility permits and optimization of site grading for construction.  Site Grading included the balancing of all Wetland Delineation, Flood Hazard Elevations, Baseline Environmental Assessments, remediation goals and permit requirements while adhering with construction costs and equipment design layout requirements.  Field activities included Soil Permeability Testing, Health and Safety Coordination and Construction Program Management.

This fast paced project required the procurement of permit modifications and compliance with NJDEP Land Use and Site Remediation Requirements with strict construction deadlines.  In addition, ACT assisted the Client to coordinate with the Owner, Electrical Designer and Licensed Site Remediation Professional to optimize the site grading, stormwater management and environmental cap designs.
