Projects

NJ Transit – Roux

Project Description

ACT Engineers conducted site inspections at various New Jersey Transit (NJT) facilities, each with aboveground oil storage capacity greater than 1,320 gallons. These facilities fall under the authority of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act, specifically under the rules found at 40 CFR Part 112, also known as the SPCC rules. ACT coordinated Site Inspections and updated facility SPCC plans as required.

ACT reviewed the current SPCC Plan for each facility and conducted a thorough site inspection to determine the adequacy of each SPCC Plan in compliance with the Federal SPCC rules. Inspections required the use of Level D Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

In addition, NJT required “Roadway Worker/On Track Protection” training and qualification. In addition, ACT identified “At Risk” operations and developed appropriate response actions. ACT also conducted personnel training, as required, at each facility for proper SPCC document handling.
