Washington Boulevard Pocket Park
Project Description
Washington Boulevard Pocket Park was designed to meet the needs of the neighboring residents. The project concept design was a collaborative effort between the residents of the adjacent townhouse complex and the Township. Needs of the nearby Assisted Living residents were also taken into consideration. ACT Engineers worked with the Township to develop the design from concept plan through construction plans. ACT’s involvement continued through bidding and construction, including review of change orders and contractor submittals, final as-built landscape inspection and final payment recommendation. The project was designed for passive recreation and features ample seating areas. Construction has recently been completed on this park, which has already become a popular destination for informal gatherings, as well as a quiet spot to sit and eat lunch. Visitors enjoy strolling through the butterfly garden and dipping their toes in the pondless waterfall.
