Washington Crossing Bridge

Project Description

As part of the Rehabilitation team, ACT Engineers was responsible for topographic survey, base mapping, wetland delineation, stake-out, permitting and coordination with multiple stakeholders and regulatory agencies throughout the rehabilitation and Concept Study process. Survey check involved control research, GPS survey and Traverse Loop closure using least squares adjustment methods. The project involved restoration of the piers, bulkheads and the steel structure. In addition, Act Engineers designed a boat ramp for the project which additionally serves as a launching point for the annual reenactment of Washington’s historic Crossing of the Delaware on Christmas Eve, 1776.
